Reverend Michael Walrond III, affectionately known as Pastor Tre, was born in Galveston, Texas. He was raised in Durham, North Carolina then completed his early education in Rockland County, New York. Reverend Walrond is a 2014 graduate of Morehouse College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion. He accepted his call to Ministry in the Fall of 2012. He then continued his education at Duke University School of Divinity where he obtained his Master of Divinity degree in May 2017.
Pastor Tre was licensed to preach in May of 2016 and then went on to become an ordained Reverend in October 2017 by Rev. Larry Covington Pastor of the Ebenezer Church in Burlington, North Carolina. Pastor Tre served for at The Ebenezer Church for two years as the Pastor of Family Life Ministries. Pastor Tre is the proud son of Reverend Michael Walrond Jr who is the Senior Pastor at First Corinthian Baptist Church and Reverend LaKeesha Walrond, Ph.D. who is the President of New York Theological Seminary. Pastor Tre currently serves as the Youth and Young Adult Pastor at First Corinthian Baptist church in Harlem.
